[问题] is it a good time to install Eavestroughing now

It is the end of Sept and the builder just installed the grass in my house. As such, I am thinking to install the eavestroughing next year. Can somebody tell me if it is true that the sooner to install the eavestroughing and the better it will be to the house? Is there any serious damage to the house or roof in the winter if there is no eavestroughing. If so, I will install it before the winter comes.

Yes, the sooner the better. Bulding fundation should avoid from water, no matter how good/expensive the building is. Water is one of the major factors that cause the fundation sinking, basement flooding, wall cracking. You may not be able to see change in a few years, but sooner or later, you would suffer from the water damage.

Will the builder not do the job for the new home? Eavestroughing is a standard facility of a house. What is the reason that it is excluded from a new building house?

If the job is done by the same builder, no need to warry about warranty.

说起来气人。Eavestrough不单单不是standard，想要这个upgrade都没地方要去，builder不给做。

虽说那东西做得越早越好，可是等一年也没什么大事。冬天的时候，小心屋檐垂下的冰柱，别让它长得太大。那东西掉下来会伤人，还会把屋檐的瓦拉坏。下雨的时候注意房子周围的地面，不要有积水。

等一年吧，到时候会有人来挨家挨户地敲门推销。事先和邻居们商量好，大家一同做，好讲价。

The Minto Owener Manual says that by installing Eavestroughing, the Roof Leak Warranty will automatically void at the same time. So if you just bought a new home, it maybe a good idea to wait for just one year.
