How much salary could I expect?

I have been working on IT for 8 years and 4 of them with a famous foreign company in China as a Senior System Engineer. My working experience includes Micorp programming, a nation-wide wireless internet constructing and 1 nation-wide paging infrastructure network maintaining. Familiar with WAN/LAN,Solaris 2.x and microp-programming. Who can tell me how much expectation salary could I put in my resume? Which type of job have more opportunities in Canada? Programmer or System Engineer?

Never mention your salary expectation in your resume!

<HTML>Unless the employers explicitly ask for. You technical background is strong enough for 70K+ here in ottawa, the only concern is your english level and luck. </HTML>

Network management background have no use here. and few position
here require NT programming. It hard to find a job here as System engineer. only possible possition for new immigrant like you is
SW Developer, and if you do not have strong development background
( expecially in Telecom area), salary will no more than 60K.</HTML>
