There's a brand new all you can eat sushi restaurant that just opened last weekend. its next to the harvey's on Baseline. its called "Sushi Kan". the store concept is like those in Toronto.
this place is quite good. We've heard complaints from some of there waitresses already though. there was a table of 8 people who ordered 240 pieces of sashimi right off the bat. [these people were not considerate of all the other customers, if all that fish goes to your table, is there going to be any left for the other customers?] these people were probably going all out get the "bang for you buck" idea. all lot of other similar cases too.
this just disgusts me. i mean ya, its "all you can eat" alright, but that's just going too far. order what you can eat people, not try to stuff yur mouth, then go to the bathroom to puke it out, and come back to eat more (one other story the waitress told us about). the waitress also mentioned that most tables stuffing themselves like pigs were asian tables. a few waitresses said that casually talking to some tables (mostly caucasian people), the customers were nodding their heads at those tables. [aka: those tables were giving all of us other asians a very bad name]
im sorry if this has turned into a rant. this new restaurant is truly a very good restaurant, worth trying out, just try to be considerate and not go overboard, save some face for other asians eh [plus: they charge for unfinished food.]
