Yaris 安全吗？

但是很省油，也比较便宜

Yaris比civic还低一个class吧！Honda的fit才是和yaris一个class得。fit在国内卖得不错。这里刚刚起步

I am only concern about Highway safety and reliability...

Larger vehicle always has better safety performance on highway, because of the longer wheel base, heavier weight, stronger body, and more room to absorb the energy in collision. Of course you pay more for the vehicle and gas. So how to select depends on you safety expectation and requirement.

I have yaris2007(auto) for over 7mths, so far so good, I did not feel any issue on highway driving, even in windy/rainy days. I feel better control the yaris than old corolla and some minivan,but the suspension feel much harder than the others(more like sport car).I haven't get any change to try it in snow day, but ideally, you'd better put snow tires on for winter.

think about pontiac wave, better price and sunroof now is free due to the new program, and it is more safety issue. But frankly speaking, if you drive a lot of highways, I will recommend you to take a consideration about mid-size or even bigger car, for example , buick allure, the reason is #1， safety, #2, safety ,#3,still safety, #4, GM v6 3800 , this engine is one of the top 10 engines and it is really good on gas on the high way . According the the energy guide 2006, it is about 7.3L per 100 km on the highway vs6.0L per 100 km ( for toyata yaris) But the allure is about 3 times heavier than the yaris.so.... that makes the #5 reason, still safety.
