Yes, IT WAS 999,99 Cdn ON BOXING DAY!
But today the price is 1799.99 Cdn plus tax in Bestbuy!!

you know why? two reasons:
1) they want people to feel good and think they saved a lot;
2) they sold out the model. There won't be any in the stock. The case is the first month after boxing week, you probably won't sell anything. So it does not hurt to put a high price tag as there won't be any sale anyway.

The fact is:
all price reduce in boxing will be the normal price in the recent future.

May i ask which one is BMW? viewsonic or LG? is there a significant difference between the two? as far as i know, lg should be a better name in tv.
