安装中央吸尘器的问题

从Costco买的Hoover牌子的。自己安装时遇到一问题：说明书上说要20Amp的插座，我家地下室只有15Amp的插座，怎么办呢？谁有这方面的经验？谢谢。

I'd assume that you are to install the central vacuum in the unfinished part of the basement. Then you could run a 20A circuit from the electrical panel to the central vacuum spot.

You will need to install a 20A circuit break - Normally you have to run #12 wire with 20A breaker.

I do not know if it is easy to install the 20A breaker by myself. Do I have to hire someone to do that?

It's quite simple to add a circuit, but be extremely careful. Always turn off the main power when you work on circui breaker. I'd suggest you get a few books (quite a lot from the public library) and make youself familar with electrical stuff.

If you're not comfortable with that, you might want to find an electrician to do it, but I don't know how much it would cost.
