1. CIC Immigration Information Session, Feb 28 @ 1:30
ISSO proudly announces the first Immigration Information Session for the year 2007, with the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) officials from the local Immigration Office, Ottawa. This is a unique opportunity for you to meet the CIC officials and ask them all the questions you may have regarding your immigration documents and even the temporary resident applications.
Please note the details of the Information Sessions as outlined below. Registration is required for the sessions:
Date: Feb 28, 2007
Time: Session 1 : 1:30 ? 2:45
Topics: Study Permit/ Work Permit/ Temporary Resident Visa
Session 2: 3:00 ? 4:30 p.m.
Topics: Landed Immigration/ Permanent Resident Applications
Location: will be confirmed to the registrants by email.
Please complete the registration form available online http://www.carleton.ca/isso/newSite/events/cic.html and send it to the ISSO by email at isso@carleton.ca . You can also register in person at 128 University Centre. Deadline for registration: Feb 22, 2007 @ 4:30 .

2. ISSO Badminton Tournament, 2007
International Student Services Office (ISSO) cordially invites you to participate in the ISSO Badminton Tournament 2007 to be held on March 3rd, 2007 @ 4:30 p.m . The tournament will be held in the Norm Fenn Gymnasium, Carleton University and the registration is open to all international, exchange and Canadian students.
Following are the details of the tournament: Please register today to ensure your space in this fun-filled event. The registration form is available in the ISSO, located at 128 University Centre. The registration form will be uploaded on the ISSO website shortly but you will need to submit the registration form in person.
Registration Opens: Monday, Feb 12 2007 @ 9:00 a.m.
Deadline for registration: Feb 27 2007 @ 3:30 p.m.
Registration Fees: Each team $10.00 (doubles) (to be paid in cash)
Please Note: Only 24 teams (24 x 2= 48 people) will be allowed to register. So the registration will close as soon as we have the required number of teams. So please hurry to secure your space!!!
You MUST be a current Carleton student to participate in the tournament.
ISSO strongly encourages you to read the Registration Policy and the Tournament Regulations (will be made available on the website very soon).
Please ask for these documents while registering at the ISSO.

The Department Of University Advancement is looking for energetic and qualified students, passionate about Carleton University to join the Annual Fund Phone Program as a Student Caller.
