Would you like the opportunity to have a private meeting with one the world's
richest men?
The Faculty of Engineering is inviting three fourth year undergraduate students to
meet with Bill Gates, Founder and CEO of Microsoft, on February 20th during his
visit to Ottawa.
Candidates must:
-Be enrolled in their final year of either the engineering or computer science programs
-Demonstrate academic excellence (minimum GPA of 7.0)
-Demonstrate leadership within the student community
-Be entrepreneurial minded
-Share similar philanthropic ideals to Bill Gates and the Gates Foundation
To apply students must also:
-Commit to being in Ottawa from 6pm February 19th until 10pm February 20th
-Provide a 1 page CV detailing their extra curricular and philanthropic involvement
-Answer the following three questions (1 page):
A) You have 15 seconds to introduce yourself to Bill Gates. What would you say? (50
words maximum)
B) If you were afforded the opportunity to meet Bill Gates, what two questions would
you ask him?

C) Why should you be selected to represent the Faculty of Engineering?
(100 words)
Applications will be accepted until 4pm on Friday January 26th in the Academic
Secretariat (SITE room 1020).
