Got a threaten call. what to do?

Hi guys...sorry that I couldn't type Chinese now. Some random guy called me this evening and said my sister kicked his dog (i don't have a sister). I'm pretty sure the guy got the wrong #, and kept telling him that. But he started to swear and called me a bxtch. After the 5th try of letting him know he got a wrong #, I hang up the phone. I thought it was just a joke and didn't take it seriously.

At mid-night, the same guy called from a 'restricted #'. The first thing he said was 'bxtch'. I recognized his voice and hang up the phone. The guy didn't give up and called right away. My bf picked up the phone and the guy started to threaten him and stated that he's going to kill my bf and me. my bf hang up the phone. I called the police but seems that the guy doesn't really know me...plus I don't want to get a police officer going out in Sat midnight....So I didn't bother to get an officer over my place.

Did anyone else run into similar situation before? What should I do next? My plan is to change my phone #...but I also want to catch the guy.

PS: I'm pretty sure I don't know this guy. This guy got strong accent. From ppl I know, no one actually has this kind of accent.

You should call or go to the police office to report this Immediately. You never know whether this guy already had your address, he may show up at your door anytime! You should never underestimate anything like that when it involves life threatening.

if he knows your number, it is not hard for him to figure out your address.

for example: internet reverse look up; google mapping.

The prob. is that the threatening call is from a restricted #. I called Telus today. The client care does not have access to that. Plus this won't cure the real prob. They still get my phone #...they could call from a pay phone even.

I've contacted the police yesterday nite. The prob is that we do not have any prove of the level of threaten. I didn't record the phone call...

The thing is that I'm pretty sure this guy has no idea what I look like...Plus I'm out of home most of the time...I'm not sure there is any life threaten over here...Plus I just called one of my friend today...it's probably her brother and his drunk buddies...I've warned them. If he did the stupid thing again...I will not let him go...

Harassness也算犯罪。对方要是总打这种电话，警察会管。

you may also think of the girls around you, if any of them hate you. Because that guy said "your sister kicked his dog". maybe a girl kicked his dog and gave your phone to that guy, told him "call my sister"
