House exterior painting

Just wonder, how much does it usually cost to repaint the exterior of the house? (like half brick half siding)

Any recommendation?

Were bricks already painted and siding are wood?

I'm not sure if the bricks are already painted, but the bricks don't look like they will need painting. The sidings are wood (not vinyl).

A gallon of paint usually covers 400 square feets. Brick don't need painting.

A average house may needs few hundreds dollars paint.

What if we hire contractor to do it for us? How much would the labour cost usually? Coz the brick part is at the bottom and we are not comfortable to do the upper level painting. I guess Spring and Summer are time for painting coz I saw many lawn signs from X Painter Y Painter Z Painter etc.

I heard paint is about 25% of total cost. But depend who you hires, the labor can vary a lot.
