May 24, 2007―The Alcatel Lucent Ottawa International Children’s Festival, which this year runs from May 30 to June 3, is a five-day extravaganza of theatre, dance, arts and music from highly acclaimed international and local artists. There are roving entertainers, including buskers, clowns and jugglers, as well as hands-on arts activities such as face painting to stimulate children’s creativity. There are also shows and plays and workshops .The festival takes place at the Canadian War Museum and on the adjacent LeBreton Flats: Many of the activities are outdoors. It doesn’t cost anything to go to the festival, but you have to buy a ticket to go to a show, and you have to have purchased a show ticket to visit the Imagination Station.
