现在作为留学生在这工作，请问在取得移民生分以后，因搬城市而失去工作，可以领取EI吗？（仅作为留学生工作1年多，移民后立即搬了城市，没有工作）

The employer gives it to an employee when the employee's position is terminated (fired, laid off, quit, etc.).

Usually, an application shall be submitted right after. And there are strict regulations on EI.

You'd better visit the HRDC Web site for information or visit an office.
