be carefule. there are 2 versions of 1200. one has loophole which you can turn region code off. another you can not.do a search "apex 1200" on google.

想买个DVD 机，但听说这里买的不能放从国内带来的DVD 碟，是吗？
有没有知道这里哪里有卖DVD 机可以放 国内来的DVD盘 及VCD 盘。

I bought an Apex several weeks ago. just $79, at future shop. Now it is still on sales. $89 plus tax. it can play both DVD and VCD.

I bought an APEX AD1200 from Futureshop 2 days ago. it plays DVD and VCD which were from China well so far.
