The Senior and Lead Chemical Process Engineer is an experienced Chemical or Mechcanical Engineer responsible for the front-end design of refinery units, petrochemical & specialty chemical plants, ammonia plants, Gas-To-Liquids (GTL) plants, coal gasification units, oil & gas processing facilities, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities. This is a FEED role requiring creativity and conceptual design capabilities.

These positions are based out of the Houston, Texas area and will either remain local or require long term travel to site.

Senior and Lead Chemical Process Engineers

Responsibilities:

Independently conducts technical and economic studies for process feasibility Prepares overall process designs and specifications of onsite, offsite, and utility systems
Develops process simulation models with advanced controls, and process optimization for various parts or units of the total plant
Calculate Heat & Material Balances
Develops and designs Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) and System Design Parameters
Determines ratings for equipment including vessels, towers, exchangers, pumps, and other equipment
Requirements:

Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and/or an advanced degree in Engineering in Chemical or Mechanical
Minimum of 4 years Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) experience
2 years of current industry experience in a Chemical, Petrochemical, and/or a Petroleum environment
Past experience with an operating company and EPC consulting is a plus
Demonstrated experience working in a simulation environment with one of the following: ASPEN, HYSYS, Pro II, Smart-Plant
