为什么我父母的签证 从8月21日开始， expiry date 是11月8日呢？是说要11月8日之前要入境么， 也没有提六个月的有效期呀

this three month period is the period during which you have to enter to Canada. But when your parents come here, they usually will be issue a 6-month extension at the customs. You can not see that 6 months on their visa now.
