把DRIVEWAY铺成INTERLOCK的好吗?

I personally don't think it's a good idea to lay pavers on driveway, for the simplest reason that the surface will become uneven easily due to parked car's weight over years. If you want interlock, do it on your backyard or front entrance, they'll last a lot longer than on the driveway! My $0.02

People get uneven interlock because the base of their drive way is not good enough.
The same base will make the asphalt drive way crack and uneven too.
If you want to fix your drive way yourself, pick the interlock.
If you want to hire some contractors to re-do your drive every few years, get the asphalt.

I am not saying that asphalt driveway will outlast interlock, of course interlock is still by far more durable. But over time, even the hardest surface will break down. If you look at older neighborhood, it is not hard to see their interlock driveways all become uneven especially at spots where cars are parked. It is up to every home owner to decide whether it's worth investing that money in the front or in the back. I personally would opt for the back.

The cost of interlock is double of asphalt, except you DIY.

Double is very good price,triple is normal.
The cost of DIY interlock is similar to asphalt.
The best time to start your DIY is now (early September) and you need to finish it no later than early October.

As you described, I believe you've done your patio in your back yard yourself.
If so, I think you know how easy you can fix the uneven spot on your patio (or your drive way).
Here's the simple procedure, in case some one doesn't know.
1. You need two screw drivers to take out the first paver stone in the centre of the area you want to fix.
2. Then you will be able to use your hand to take out rest of the paver stone in the area.
3. Remember the patten by laying the stones on other place or simply move those stones to a handy place if there's no patten.
4. Add sand and make the base even then put the paver stones back by reverse order.
5. Pour sand on the surface of your drive way and use broom to brush the sand into the gap several times ( 4 or 5 times in couple of weeks).
6. Enjoy the new look of your drive way.
There are crack fillers in Home Depot and canadia tire . depending on the width of crack there are three kinds of fillers. liquid, caulking or pot hole filler. You can go to the store check the label.
The gap could be fixed by adding new asphalt. You can call contractor like royal seal. The best is when you neighbour is redoing their driveway. Ask the contractor do a small job onside. They usually has some extract. They have big machine on hand which small sealer don't have.
