听说有人的挡风玻璃被落物砸过,大概是4,5年前的事情了

"没车最好"是什么意思?

三个朋友的车玻璃被砸过。最近是今年的事(在311)
209, 311,201好像是一个OWNER,你应该可以换一个房,
 
我觉得房东根本就不应该出租这间有破玻璃的房间(从安全角度考虑). 但我一时查不到有关的条例, 只查到房东有责任进行必要的修理的有关条款. 如下:

Residential Tenancies Act, 2006

20. (1) A landlord is responsible for providing and maintaining a residential complex, including the rental units in it, in a good state of repair and fit for habitation and for complying with health, safety, housing and maintenance standards. 2006, c. 17, s. 20 (1).

楼主可以把破窗户的照片打印两张出来, 带着以上条款去 Landlord and Tenant Board 去问问, 这个破房子可以合法出租吗. 如果答案是不可以, 则请求他们帮你退租. 如果他们说可以出租, 你则要去要求房东给你马上修理. 如果不修, 你可以再催促, 同时告诉他们你可以上告到 Landlord and Tenant Board, 如果查证了房东的确有过失, 罚款可以高达10000.

落地窗基本是破的,有的玻璃碎片还在窗户上;纱窗也是破的,而且已经倒在阳台上了.我仔细想了想思路,发现即使房主把玻璃修好,加阳台还是会有油漆味道,我总不能天天不开窗吧!所以,坚决退租!现在我就给房主写书面通知...

油漆味道不是退租的理由. (也许在你心里是, 但不是合理的退租理由). 最好别用这个理由. 如果房子不安全而且他们不给修, 那就是安全问题了, 可以申请退租.

Yeah. But still, have a strategy and focus on the issue. No personal attack please. Even if the rental agent did something wrong, it is not a reason to call him/her a bad person. If you do, you will lose people's sympathy for you. Focus on what you need and ask the landlord to provide it: a saft and healthy environment where you can call it home.
 
How is it now? Did you get any feedback? I feel angry that the rental office only cares about the money not the tenants. very bad company.
