I just swithed to Primus, and have a problem to connect the router (Trendnet TEW-432BRP). Primus doesn't provide support regarding router, and I could not get through router's service phone line. I tried reset, but did not work.

Any idea? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think it's the Router's problem. The posibilities are:
1. The DSL connection is bad, or the phone line is too long.
2. The modem is not connected properly.
3. The user/password, or PPPoE was not configured properly.

Please check following these steps:
1. Check if all phones are connected with a "filter" provided by Primus. Otherwise your modem can't work properly.
2. Check the modem DSL state light. It should be blinking first when you plug into the power, and then will turn into static green after a while.
3. Check if the modem Ethernet port is connected to the Router's WAN port. The modem's Ethernet state light should be on.
4. login into the router's webpage, check if the WAN configuration is "PPPoE" protocol, and input your userid/password provided by Primus.

If all checked and no problem, you should cancel your service. I had a bad experience with Primus. That was the reason I changed to Acanac.

应该不是router的问题,你先用计算机直连modem,看看你的username/password是不是对的,服务开通了没有,确定别的没事了,再看router的设置

The modem works well if connected to compuer directly. But when I add the router in, the problem comes out. I did set up PPPoE, changed user id and password, the router still disconnect. By the way, the router worked well before I switched.

did you have correct PPPoE setup on your http://192.168.x.1/wan.htm?
choose PPPOE.
and how about http://192.168.x.1/log.htm, what does this say?

192.168.x.1 is your router's address.
how much is Primus's dsl?

I have chosen acanac again because they said first year they are losing money and after first year you can choose 2 years 23.95/m or 1 year 33.9/m.
I didn't see other good deal yet so choose this again.

Is the modem a router too? if yes, then you have to choose one as router or do nat twice.
