You must have at least one fire alarm one floor(including basement). and a co2 alarm at bedroom level. Battery powered fire alarm only cost 8 dollars. They could save you some money at insurance.

我在网上作了一下quote, TD的暂时领先...$580（卡尔顿的alumni有折扣），我的是2000刚出头的新屋，2个fire alarm。是不是用电池的要先问一下builder...

add another alarm at basement and buy a plug in CO detector to install at second floor will save you few dollars per month for insurance.

Your insurance will be $50-60 lower if you install a security alarm system connected to a central monitoring station.

Don't just think about the premium. Think about the coverage as well. Ask the insurance agent if they cover sewage, and how much do they pay you to rebuild the house if it's lost (i.e. just how much it's estimated now, or how much it will really take to rebuild the same comparable house in future).

另外房屋保险有些小公司千万别买...经常不接受CLAIM...

还是多花钱找一些大公司省心...
