Ottawa Digs Out
According to Environment Canada, Ottawa Airport recorded 52 centimetres of snow and ice before the storm finally blew itself out. Now that the worst is over, the challenge is for residents and city staff to dig out.

Officials predict that it will take the rest of the week to clear everything up.

O-Train and Para-Transpo service was cancelled on Sunday, and O-C Transpo will be delayed.

Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed for one day all week.

The overnight parking ban remains in effect, and city owned parking lots and garages will be free of charge until Monday morning at 5 a.m.
Deputy City Mayor Richard Hewitt says the snow has been a major obstacle for emergency services.

Police are advising residents to try and stay off side roads until crews can clear off the snow.
