I applied visa without bringing my old Chinese passport (left in Vancouver), The lady said you can fax all pages,a nd come tomorrow, I ask to talk her boss, I am nicely discuss with this 40-years old lady, and show her my Canadian citizen ship card (issued in 2001), to prove my passport should be expired early. She don"t trust me, and educated me 10 minutes, said: you are foreigner, you should follow the Chinese rules, I have power to ask any document I want.
I said you should at least post your requirement in te website to save our time. Also in Vancouver, there is no this requirement (last year). She said. I don"t care Vancouver, You must mail your passport and show us it is expired.
hurt my feeling, I donate my money (I am not rich) to Chinese snow recovery, and I thought I am a Chinese, at least I visit my hometown.
But.... Suggestion: Don" argue with these Grand-Mother/Fathers, because they are the peole who execute Chinese Government Power.
