I hope these Olympics are completely boycotted. China's human rights stink! They can't even feed and house their own people! They are a third world country and the stupid Olympic Committee should never have considered them for the games. Long Live Tibet (and Taiwan), and pray for freedom in China.

I was at the demo. It was an ugly display of racial hatred. People brought some tibetans to tears telling them to "go home" and some said "we wish you were dead." Disgusting.

I am Chinese Canadian myself but I think Canada should boycott Olympic summer game in Beijing. CCP is as evil as Nazi, my people is suffering in daily bases. China has been kidnapped by CCP for so long,so it is time for the rest of the world to take action now.

As a chinese canadian, it is a real shame to see such an ugly show in ottawa. CCP regime is not chosen by chinese election. It holds the coutry like kidnapping. It always lies, from tiananmen massacre in 1989 to tibet his year. No body knows who and where will be the next. It is a shame of the whole world to have olympics there.

considering how many so called refugees we took in from China during the Tianamen square debacle I'm surprised that anyone would dare show up to support them. While Tibet may not have a clean history that is no excuse for the way China has treated them nor does it excuse the theft of their country, their culture, their spirit.

henri -- you call Di Nino 'nuts' for saying that there is oppression in china. Have you been under a rock this month? Photos of chinese soldiers attacking monks have been all over the place. And if you believe that violence was justified, then you have to look no further than the fact the Chinese have censored the press, the internet, and denied to their own people that they stormed a peaceful protest at Tiananmen Square in 1989. There are countless examples. If you're ignoring the evidence that's in front of your face, maybe you're the one who is nuts.

Let me get this straight. The invasion and assimilation of Tibet, by China, was an illusion???
Tibet, a nation of Buddhists, is the aggressor in this????? The Dali Lama wants to sit down and have civil negotiation with China, and he's labeled as a "devil"?????

Have you no concept of how a tyrannical nation like China operates?
I for one will be boycotting the Olympics, and will try and convince everyone I know to do the same. It' the least the people of Canada can do to call this obvious human rights violation by China, to account.

I was originally from China. It's so shamed to see this kind of demonstration. It is all about Nationalism. Is the whole world wrong and only China is correct??

I still find hard to understand what those demonstrators want. Do they want us to believe that Chinese government treats Tibetans well? Or the international community should turn our eyes aside when Chinese government kills and jails the Tibetans as they will?
I am a Han Chinese and I felt very sorry for the Tibetans. The demonstrators might think Tibet should be in China regardless how many lives at cost. There are more who think otherwise.

The world most youngest political prisoner is still in custudy in China (2month girl , daughter of Jia Hu).
Tibeter are unable to meet their religion Baalism for 50 years.
The violent in Tibet started because the whole temple has been surrounded for 10 days, the reason for lock down is because a Tibet flag was raised at the temple.
More then 100 journalists are in jail or punished because they write something wrong.
I do not understand why they do this at Ottawa , they should do this at Beijing.
