今天刚刚又收到加拿大红十字会的email, 转发如下：
Further to my first e-mail, I just received some new information that I wanted to share with you. As of today, the Canadian Red Cross has already contributed $1 million to the initial $20 million appeal by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to assist survivors of the China earthquake. The Canadian Red Cross collects funds to meet the immediate relief and long-term recovery needs of disaster survivors. It is important to note that the emergency relief phase of a disaster actually requires the smallest amount of funds; it is the long-term recovery and rehabilitation efforts that require massive amounts of financial support.
I've also just learned that the Government of Canada did announce late this afternoon that they will be implementing a matching program. We are expecting to learn the specific details of that on Friday.

此前虽已经通过加拿大红十字会捐了款，家里每人$100，但反哺之心焉能尽情，此番有了我们所在国政府相助，愿为祖国抗灾再献绵薄之力！
