Youth LINC teacher needed

Description and Responsibilities:

· To teach youth aged 18 to 24
· To develop and deliver LINC materials and alternative LINC subjects such as art, drama and fitness
· To adhere to curriculum provided and to make necessary modification in accordance with the needs of students
· To monitor and assess progress of students
· To communicate with Coordinator regarding the development and needs of the program and its participants

Qualifications:

· TESL Ontario certificate a requirement
· Bachelor of Education an asset
· Good knowledge of the Canadian language Benchmarks Assessment (CLBA) and LINC Curriculum Guidelines
· Experience working in a multicultural environment
· Experience teaching a multi-level class
· Sensitive to the settlement/language needs of new immigrants
· Excellent proficiency in English
· Experience teaching young adults
· Experience and/or an enjoyment of art, drama and fitness
· Experience teaching alternative education an asset
