I read what has been posted on their own website about the plan, it doesn't appear that people can have any other options, basically, you want that phone, you will have to sett with these crappy voice + data plans, regardless you may currently have a $20 voice plan. You want that phone, you have to pay the new rate, not yes but about it.

Apple and Rogers will have to realize, it is only a toy or gadget, people (Mass majority) won't pay ridiculous price just for having one. PS3 was a very good example, when they first launched it with $799 price tag, it sat on the shelf for a long long time, consumer's reaction was that they can't justify them self to spent that kind of cash on a toy. Same kind of rationale applies here, and on top of that, AT & T in USA offers better bundle with $1000 less.

Hmm, some dumb canadians would pay for the entry plan, some will pay for the top ones, Rogers has been planned this market very well. A lot of canadians are pay like 50 dollars a month for their phone
