问一哈啊,如果工作在DOWNTOWN,买房子到底买到kanata和orleans哪里好?orleans中国人多不多?

顺便问一下KANATA的Katimavik 区好象最近房子卖的比较多,而且不算贵,有没有住那里的中国兄弟姐妹,介绍介绍,谢谢

I have lived in this area for two years. This area is very good:
1. a lot of mature trees, grass and trails, a lot of parks;
2. very good schools (Katimavik E. S. for French immersion, Earl of March Secondary School);
3. quick access to highway 417, bus 96;
4. walk distance to library, wave pool, arenas, chinese store, and a lot of stores;
5. walk to walk in clinic, dentist, ...

The only drawback is that the house is old ( most of them are over 20 years). But the lot are usually larger than new home.
 
They are all kanata lake town houses. Kanata lake schools (elementary and high school) perhaps are the best in city.

But I think this one could be better value Ottawa Real Estate Board - Listing Details

This town home may be little older than the other two, but it is back to golf course. Good view and quiet backyard. carpet, roof , furnace and counter top all new. So these is nothing to worry about for another 15 to 20 years. $259,000 pretty much on target for this location.

It is on Knudson Dr, which is a major road in this area. It's not good for young kids. There's a reason for low price. You even get hard time to back your car to the street from your garage.
 
I don't think so. At least in ottawa the design of the roads is big circle link with small circle, very few dead end streets, So most roads have through traffic, play on the street never is option and it is againt bylaw. in kanata lake 50% houses are along glodenridge, knudson drive and walden drive. The houses price on these roads are not different than others. And they are not that busy.
