关于HRV系统

请教大家一个问题：买新房，升级选择中有HRV（heat recovery ventilation）的选项，听起来很不错。不知电、气费用会因此升高很多吗？自己以后安装是否便宜一些？

HRV has to be connected to the duct system. It's not a big job for the builder. The labor should not be too much. You can't save too much by doing yourself. HRV has its own controller. You can choose to open or turn it off. It is especially useful in winter. It can refresh air inside the house while saving energy.

HRV system has two types. Dedicated HRV and Intergrated HRV.

For the dedicated HRV system, it has a whole set of separated pip for the air exhuast. So it's hard to install the pip through the house after all the dry wall up. IT IS A BIG JOB FOR THE BUILDER.

For the intergrated HRV. The house owner can install the system later on, b/c all the exhuast air goes through the Furnaces duct.

In theory dedicated HRV system will more efferctive for the fresh air exchange.

So depends on what type of the HRV system your builder provied...
For the dedicated HRV system, you should think about it.
For the intergrated HRV system, you can do it later.


As for the expense of the HRV system, I believe that you have to pay some money for the fresh air no pain , no gain. Hope anyboday else can answer the question.
