01 Protege, automatic, bought from Bank Street Mazda, 1.5 years driving experience.

Regularly maintained. Engine runs well. No big problems. Got sparkling coil changed within 30 days of purchase. Got catalytic converter changed under 120,000 km warranty.

When gearing up there is a "knocking" feeling. A little loud, which means the cabinet is not well sound-insulated.

价钱不需要很贵

同意，我开了四年了，没有大问题，只换过一个前避震，只能怪加拿大的路太破烂，到处是坑

没有觉得很省油啊，前阵子camping，来回大概440km，其中大概360km是高速，总共耗油36升。感觉Mazda的车耗油指标一直都是不高不低。

如果是买新车，还是考虑Honda Civic 好

totally agree, I just bought a 2000 protege.
but according to consumerguide automotive, mazda protege's score is higher than civic and corolla. especially the ES/LS edition. it's totally worth it.
