Kylin TV, Sigh..........

Not sure how many people are using it now in ottawa...but not me any more. Initially they charged me 10US$ a month, I felt I got a steal. But soon it increased my monthly fee to 17US$ with less channels. Now they charge me 21CAD$ with only 17 channels something....And the TV programs are not real time at all(I thought I could watch Olympic games through Kylin, but it delays a day). Now my problem is that I couldn't catch a customer support person to cancel it. I called them 10 times, every time I got was to leave message. And I did leave my voice msg, but they never called me back...This is really freaking me out now.

Call customer service and tell them you want to upgrade your service, in other words, you want to spend more money on them. They will call you right away.

When they call, tell them you want to cancel the service and make sure you record the name of the CSR and want a confirmation number. Ask the CSR to send a letter of confirmation.

After that, send a registerd letter to Kylin TV (one that required signature) to them to reconfirm the issue plus the info that you got from the phone call.

Make sure you make a record of what you have done since day one ie. what date and time you made the phone call, who did you talk to, what the promised last day of service. Also, record any other actions you have done. This can provide info when you have to take your complain further if needed.

Tell you one funny thing... They called my home actually(I called them at work and leave my office number to call back) and left a msg...they are trying to offer me a discount something!...The way they are doing business makes me sick.
Actually I bought a IPTV set-top box and I can watch more than 40 Chinese channels for free! Any reason I should pay them 20 bucks? I work so hard to save the damn 20 bucks every month. Those TVs are real time too...Hope CCTV5 can broadcast the Rockets game and I can get CCTV5 for free!

I got my experience from dealing with Bell Expressvu. Today, if you want someone talk to you in person and right away, you have to get around the system a bits. By using the trick I mention above it works every single time. Good luck to dealing with Kylin TV.

BTW can yoy tell us more about your IPTY set-top box. I am thinking about getting one too.

Speak of risk, well, as long as they can last more than 1 and a half year, it would be cheaper than Kylin, from my point of view. They told me that they had served for more than 120k customers all around of the world for more than 3 years....They assured me that they were pretty stable about the service....
You may call them to ask about this risk issue...
