要不就是在多啦士多那种贱样，要不就是ikea和加拿大轮胎那种中规中矩的，稍微“艺术”一下就贵的离谱，难道这不是商机吗？

as soon as something deviates slightly from the cookie cutter products, having a little bit of design , it is priced almost as a piece of art.

The one with the balls is too busy looking, and a rip-off, the stainless steel one looks nice, but a HUGE rip-off, conclusion: don't buy and look around more.

Toronto有，不过好象没在Ottawa见过Umbra的专卖店。Direct Buy(members only), Domus (85 Murray Street in the Byward Market), Zone (471 Sussex Drive in the Byward Market) 都卖他们的产品，我以前也在The Bay买到过。帖子里给的网址就是Umbra的online shop，这一款是31.5CAD.

Koziol在加拿大没店吧？有估计也是死贵的。

不知道在加拿大有没有，渥太华肯定是没有，不过我在Domus和Zone都见过Koziol的东西，早前的Folio更是很全（miss that store...)。算不上很贵，肯定不会让你倒抽一口冷气，生出想自己动手做的冲动。我贴的那几样，应该都不会超过40CAD. ALESSI的价位比较高，但是那个King Kong rack也不过23英镑。
你贴的那个$330，是知名人士设计的吗？会不会用了特殊材料？我有个设计师朋友，为渥村某餐厅设计了一款吊灯，死贵，看起来好象是白纸折的罩，其实用的是在意大利生产的一种光纤材料。

Wire Coatrack

Inspired by a simple paperclip, designer Tom Dixon hand welded stainless steel to create his Wire Coatrack (2003). The sculptural form is made with generous ellipses that facilitate the casual draping and hanging of garments, hats and bags. Sold in two-foot sections, the Wire Coatrack is infinitely extendable, and can even be installed around corners. The welding skills demonstrated in the design of this item aren't the result of art school (Dixon dropped out after six months), but rather the self-taught necessity of a motorcycle enthusiast. Dixon's bike has landed him in the hospital twice, with one stay around three months, and it was during these recuperations that Dixon began toying with design to occupy his time. A man who is always challenging norms, Dixon is recognized as one of the UK's most influential product designers. His work includes furniture, lighting and accessories, as well as interior and architectural schemes. Dixon was nominated for the Design Museum's 2005 Designer of the Year. Wall plugs (not included) are necessary for drywall installation.
