Agree. In Quebec, there is more likely a laywer instead of the police officer itself attending the court. Therefore, you won't be able to avoid the police when you go the court. In addition, if you lose the case, you will pay "罚款+利息+上堂费". (I am not sure about "上庭前魁省法官会给你一个折扣在罚款和点上" though).
