Help: advantage and disadvantage about painting basement floor!

Just move in a new house and was told by a friend that we better paint the basement floor to prevent the dust goes into the air circulation system.

Any suggestions?

Only advantage.

It may not be good idea. It takes two years for concrete to be totally dry. If you paint it, it seals concrete and prolong the process.
