My answer machine doesn't work with Rogers Home Phone

How many people did expereince similar thing? My answer machine was working well with Bell's landline phone, no problem. But after I switched to Rogers phone, it stopped working or recording any incoming message. It's an old machine but at least it can identify pulse or tone dialing.

What trick is in there?
