--- 2008年4月闯红灯被拍,确定是红灯,绝不是黄灯,直到现在也没有收到罚单或任何信,难道要自首吗?会不会很多年之后我就欠一大笔?你们都是过多久收到的信?
No worry there could not 很多年之后我就欠一大笔. I got one parking ticket after 14 days. So long time you haven't received 罚单或任何信, I think no this letter will come if you did not change address.
On the other side, you should know you got a police ticket or not by you renew your car insurance -- if you got a police ticket in last three years, your insurance would be increased a lots. So, if your insurance increased, call your insurance company and ask is it related a police ticket, ask them in detail of when, what reason, etc. You will find your answer and have a good sleep.
By a way, for the last step, if you are sure and find you got a police ticket but not received any letter for it. Go to a police station and ask them how to do (no need say 自首 as you wrote). Police could nice to help you and tell you how to do.

一般而言，警察是没有时间每天看照片的，但是警察的弟弟或侄子开的公司有的是时间，因此一般都外包了。承包方也很累，每天只看有限几张，否则就影响休息和休假了，只要不是严打期间，一般工作量是不能太大的。原则上，照片超过一定期限也就没有必要看了，因为每天都会有更新的照片送来……
很多省有规定，违章单多少天之内发不到就无效，BC是30天，安省不知道是多久。从实际操作上看，一个月没事肯定就蒙过去了。

这个所谓的"Parking Ticket"的网页就包含了所有的违章记录和罚款，包括红灯和超速 -- I am not 不相信. And, I never and will 闯一次红灯或严重超速一次. I just have a question and interested 这个网页的功能.
By a way, --- 付款后马上就查不到了，因为这是一个方便你付费的网页 -- do you have a 网页 can find all tickets included already 付款后的? As a ticket record. It could be more useful.

保险公司内部是有这个网页的，而且各个保险公司共享数据。你看不到。公开的网站你要能看到，你的保险公司就能看到了，有些小违章警察是不会主动告诉保险公司的，估计有这种网站的话，早被各类违章分子给告倒闭了。还是不要看见的好：交钱就了了，不留任何尾巴，City收到了他们需要的钱，你买没了自己的麻烦，皆大欢喜。一旦保险公司知道你有违章记录，不管有没有扣点，保费一定会大大地涨一把的。红灯自动照相这种事情，就是一个典型的警察不会主动通知保险公司的例子，但是保险公司可以自己搜索或在更新保险时逼你报告。因此若有这类违章就要早点付罚款，两三年内不要轻易换保险公司，而这也恰恰是City和保险公司所乐意见到的，也是这么个后门能够长期存在的理由。
我怎么觉得是你闯红灯被拍呢?因为你黄灯进去时闪光灯并没闪.
