有孩子读lawyer的吗？

想知道高中选哪些课有用？本科读什么专业，有利与将来读 law school 。

我个人观点: 本科不能读得太偏。万一考不上 law school，还得凭本科学的吃饭。周围的大多读医，也有同样问题， ４年后还得考medicine school，万一考不上，所学的生化 能找什么工作? ,凭生化吃饭还是有点难.读医, risk 太大. 好象读law, risk小点. 欢迎高人讨论， 指点.

I don't have any kids who are studying law, but I could offer some opinions here.

Having a marketable (that is, something that allows your child to have a decent career) bachelor/master/PhD degree is desirable, not for the reason that you cited, but to have something to fall back on if he/she could not get a job at a law firm after he/she finishes the law study. For instance, having an Engineering, pharmacy, chemistry, etc.

Also, it seems now that having a bachelor degree is not enough as law practicing is quite specialized. Having a PhD is ideal, I believe.

十分有道理。家长不能把自己的想法压在孩子身上，更不能期待自己没有实现的梦想，由孩子来实现。孩子如果不喜欢，能学好吗？

还让你说着了，一个朋友的孩子，搞音乐去了。将来，说不定在市内的步行街遇到他呢；真的成才，那就在ＮＡＣ的舞台上见了。

先读一大本(无所谓什么专业,我认识的律师,有文科,也有理科的),再读 law school,实习,工作 or 考执照,最后,政府,或开业(律师和医生一样,喜欢扎堆)

记得"Legally Blonde" 电影吧. 如果没看,建议你看看, 我很喜欢这个电影.

It is the child want to be a lawyer, I only want to know how she can be a lawyer.

万一考不上 law school, 大本还得读有用的专业, is it right?

让他现在好好补时事，学法律不懂政治到时候会被同学同事笑话。。。

如果孩子实在不愿意，你又非得逼他学。。。

那就学移民法。。。

至少以后上班不受罪。。。

对，学经济金融，只要相对应的科目成绩够了都可以报law school。。。

去学校问问就知道了。。。

那么多的税跟学费雇了那些councilor干嘛不用啊。。。

Re-read my post again. No where that I mentioned you need to be a PhD in Law. I said it is desirable to have a PhD degree (in other fields such as engineering, pharmacy, etc) before studying law.

I see where you are confused. Before you can start taking up law study, you must have a minimum bachelor degree in other fields. But this does not seem to be good enough these days because many firms require people to have a PhD degree in other fields + Law. As I said, it's desirable to have it, not mandatory.

不是每一个律师跟政治有关的，比如说，知识产权保护。

Lots of people think getting a law degree is a guarantee to work as a lawyer. These people better check with the statistics first. Many of those guys ended up doing completely different, not unlike many other fields.

4 New York Hospitals closed this week. Some teachers also layed off in NY.

Medical cost + seninar-care-cost will cost more & more GDP (50% or more) in the near future.

So these cost/job will face cut down the road.

QiGong and low-cost chinese medican will become attractive.
