有没有人有以visitor签证身份申请Opening work permit ,请教几个问题，谢谢

真是太感谢您了，回答了我所有的问题，不过我还有几个疑惑
1.你问我确定是表格IMM5556是怎么回事，难道不是么，不是的话又该是什么啊?，
2.那个你说的花花绿绿的东西是入境章么?我没有其他的了，我老公的护照上的work permit 算不算

3.表格IMM5556里面还有一个
”work permit”[FONT=宋体]一项中有一个[/FONT]”photocopy of your travel or identity document (citizenship certificates, birth certificates, alien registration card, etc) if you did not use a passport to enter canada”, [FONT=宋体]请问我这种情况该不该提供此类材料，我不晓得我是不是单单凭借护照，因为我申请[/FONT]visitor[FONT=宋体]签证的时候是携签，当时是提供了出生证的,而且是原件,现在没有了[/FONT]


真的很感谢您，等这几个问题解决了，我就去寄材料了

还有我们不想移民任何国家，虽然日本百般好，我们还是想回到自己的国家，毕竟只有在自己的国家里才会有那种主人的感觉。

你的问题，开喜和ccc网友都回答了，我在这里再给你综合一下：

1）你申请work permit应该使用下面连接所给出的guide, application form, check list,etc.
Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker

2) "your current immigration document" 可以是如下四种：

Temporary residents travelling with passports:
When you arrived in Canada and gave your passport to the officer, they authorized your stay by placing a stamp in your passport and/or issuing an additional document. Check your passport. If you find a stamp, it should look like one of these.

a). If the officer specified a date as shown in the above illustration, (your temporary resident status would expire on June 30th, 1993.)

b). If there is no stamp, a handwritten date or document in your passport, (your temporary resident status will expire six months from the day you arrived in Canada.)

c). If you were given a visitor record(就是前面说的花花绿绿的纸，如下图), study or work permit, (the expiry date is marked on the document.)

d). Temporary residents travelling without passports(你的情况不属于这类，这里不多说了）

3）“这是指没有护照的人， 你有护照， 就不管它了。”

4）你的申请材料的邮寄地址是

实际上，你所问的问题，在cic网站上的application guide上都有详细的说明，看来你是没有仔细阅读。

因为很多人是老公帮老婆申请，老公本身是worker身份，所以帮老婆申请OWP是第二个连接没错，我是自己给自己申请，所以我的理解以为我是第一种呢，不管了，大家都说是第二种，那我就按第二种的规则来办事，呵呵，谢谢各位了

我认为你是第一种情况， 应该用 visitor 那个链接。 不过无所谓吧， 反正都在一个楼里边， 不是一个部门就是另一个部门呗。

尽管"Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a visitor"以及"Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a WORKER"两套申请材料非常相近，而且所用的申请表也是一样的（都是IMM 1249)，但如果仔细阅读Instruction Guide(IMM 5551, IMM 5553)的话，就会发现二者还是有区别的。

比如，Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Visitor 的Instruction Guide (IMM 5551) 中的Overview中开篇就讲：

"This guide is designed to help you determine if you are eligible to apply for an extension or change conditions of your stay in Canada as a visitor. It provides all the necessary information, instructions, and application forms for you to complete and submit."

意思就是延期visitor record或改变visitor record中的condition（也就是下图中用红线划出的部分），但并不改变身份（仍然是visitor）


而在Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker 的Instruction Guide (IMM 5553)的Overview中，却详细列举了适用对象：

“This guide is designed to help you determine if you are eligible to apply for an extension of your work permit or change conditions of your stay in Canada, including applying for an initial work permit (see the section Who may apply for a work permit from within Canada?). It provides all the necessary information, instructions and application forms for you to complete and submit.“

红色的字列出的applying for an initial work permit，就是适用于搂主这种身份，即申请initial work permit, 将visitor改为worker.

用两套申请材料中的任何一个应该都可以，申请表都是一个(IMM 1249), check list IMM 5556与IMM 5558中要求提交的材料也差不多吧（抱歉，没仔细对比）？但邮寄地址略有不同。我认为，用Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker 的地址应该更快一些，否则，从一个Office转材料到另一个Office, 多经过一道手续和多一个处理过程，会耽搁一些时间。

我怎么就没有那个visitor record呢，进关的时候就光我老公给了个work permit，我啥花花绿绿的纸都没有，难道因为我们是携签，又是同时过来的

不过移民局弄这么复杂， 有点画蛇添足哦。 既然表格都是一样的， 怎么处理起来要分两个部门？
