Fit for Heart 2008/09 - Ottawa Walk for Heart - Event Information
Put your heart into it on Sunday, April 19 for the 9th annual Walk for Heart at Ottawa City Hall.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation invites everyone to join friends, family, coworkers and the community, and walk either a 3 km or 5 km route down the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Drive to celebrate your heart health and raise funds for important research.
Walk for Heart is the fun-filled fundraising event formerly known as the Mother Daughter Walk. It’s a non-competitive walk for the whole family to enjoy. Most importantly, on this one special day your family, friends and neighbours come together for heart health.
People can register by phone, online or in person. Check-in begins at 8 a.m., followed by opening ceremonies at 9 a.m., then the walk itself. There will also be a health-and-wellness fair inside City Hall.
