去别人家做客带些什么好？

被邀请去老外（岁数比较大）家晚餐。由于是第一次不知道该带些什么好。
麻烦大家给些建议谢谢。
如果是酒的话麻烦您推荐的详细一些。不是很懂行谢谢

For old folks, wine might not be appropriated.

There is really no written rules on what you should bring, maybe some Chinese cookies (those in a nice tin cans, soft like egg rolls cookies), and wall decorators (such as little painting that don't cost an arm and a leg).
