Don't laugh, one of my summer jobs many years ago was picking worms. The firm would track a few of us to a golf course at mid-night and you start from there. At the end of the shift, they would weigh the catch and paid you by pound.
It was hard work as you bent your body most of the time.
The best time was when it was raining, worm as big as an adult's finger were all over the field.
And the best workers then were always Korean farmers, whose catches were always at least 3-times more than us poor students, lol.
