what is "Forced air"

for 2nd hand house, heating is "forced air", what is it?

how about in summer, can it be used as air conditioning or I have to install a new air conditioner? thanks

forced air does not mean anything. It only means heating system has a fan to pull the air. It could be a gas furnace (most house) or a electric furnace. Or electric heater in each room.

相对国内很多地方是水暖，这儿家用大部分都是风暖--也就是不断的给空气加热，达到供暖的目的。
furnance 有个中央风机，促使冷热空气循环 -- 抽进冷空气，加热升温后，再送到各通风口。当接上制冷机（空调）后，仍然使用这些管道，风机，不同的是进的是热风，经制冷后，送出的是冷风。
当制冷，加热都停止时，可单独使用风机，促使空气循环流动，来达到调节室内空气的目的。

Thanks for all reply I think now I have basic ideas for this. Agent's answer is not clear, not say "no AC", say "it is forced air".
