lot of government job postings are to trick people. the time you see a posting on their website, it might have been taken internallyawhile ago. The way it works is that the manager is hiring someone, and she/he will ask other people if they know someone looking for a job. and there you go. true lot of jobs in the government just need people with high school education. sad thing is that we as tax payer pay so much tax, part of it goes to those people's pocket. The head of e-health was fired, because they wasted money on birthday parties, baby shower, etc. He deserved it! My brother in law works for the government as duty of natural resource,like minister assistant. so he has his own sectary, and his car provided by the government. He has a master degree and has very high pay. he also has meetings after meetings even during the weekends sometimes. But he said the meetings are just full of baloney, just have excuse to have a big feast.

一个朋友在DND做到那个部门离不开他也不放他的境界，整个一层楼就他一个搞技术的，就他一个最忙，就他一个反复因为各种简单（本人电脑盲，说了很多次没有听懂）系统改进-自己设计的不用花钱更新而被内部调查。。。

20多年的心理压力，烦躁，从一个青年时代冰球队的明星mvp被折腾到一个300多快四百的标准胖子。。。

最后医生开方子，让他吸食医用大麻，人也放松了，也学会偷懒了，也不跟头提意见了。。。

现在工资也长了，级别也提了，corner office也有了。。。

公平么，不是公平的问题，而是要合群儿啊。。。

中国人吧？

在政府干居然还会有心理压力， 就说明这个人很aggressive，很自我，不愿教人，不合群。。。。

for example: I wanted to ask a Chinese colleague to clarify something, so I came over, and that person was doing something, so I asked 'are you busy', and she just said 'yes' and just left me there, without even raised her head to look at me the whole time, like she was really something. This kind of things rarely happened with my white colleagues. so, do I want that person to get promoted? even she knows more, work more diligently than everybody else???

I think this job post has be well trimmed for specific person, who may already work in this position. However CRA just do some process to indecate they hire her/him in normal process!

screening, you don't have a chance to get the tests. How can you pass their screening? Firstly, you must meet their requirement. For this example, if you have a secondary school diploma and a degree ( you must put your highest degree when you apply), you are out because you are over qualified. Only those who have a secondary diploma and finished the required courses can go through the screening.

OVERQUALIFIED 绝对不可能用在SCREEN的时候，最多是在进了POOL后，找RIGHT FIT的时候用。

SCREEN 是看申请人是否满足基本要求（ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS)，比如教育，如果要求是Secondary school diploma，那任何比这个高的教育学历都符合要求。
