As the system moves closer, forecasts are calling for less snow and more freezing rain or rain for this event with the possibility of snow Saturday night as temperatures drop behind the system. The risk of a freezing rain event is significant for Boxing Day morning. The system will move slowly through Quebec lingering through the weekend. Precipitation amounts could reach up to 20 mm of rain / freezing rain with 5 cm of snow behind the system. Drivers should use caution on Saturday as roads could be icy.
