谁知道昨天carleton里那么多警察是干嘛来的?

they are there to honor a recent death of police officer, who died on line of duty. Around 4000 of law enforcement around Canada and US participate the funeral.
 
Yes, it was a senseless crime, for nothing. Nobody understands why.

It's widely reported in the media (TV, Radio, Newpaper). The dead officer is a polish immigrant and the alledged killer is a troubled and suspended RCMP officer. It's reported that the killer had previously made death threat against a church official in another province. He may have mental disorder/problem over the past few years. That may explain why he went out at 4:30am and attacked the police office without any reason, maybe just because the police officer was wearing a police uniform.
 
I couldn't understand the whole big funeral for the passed away police. It was a tragedy for anyone die by an attack. But he didn't die because of saving life or property... I cannot see there is any reason for him to be like a hero. I don't know why the news for this event continuing for several days. And so many people attended the funeral. He just died while he was on duty.

对世去的人,尤其是因公死亡的人的尊重,是文明社会的标志。连动物都知道留连于同伴的尸体旁, 大象会隔年收敛同伴的枯骨,何况人呢。

对警察,军人的死亡缺少关心,警察和军人凭什么为你冒险?
 
听到收音机报道了,报道甚至提到了。。。people around the world.. 呵呵,我还以为是个什么重要的人物或惊天动地的大事呢。。。经过警察局,看到降半旗了。

尊重是当然的,不同的方式而已。
 
新闻报道铺天盖地,你难道一点儿都不知道?你也太闭锁了吧。



我是真的觉得,没有这个必要吧...死在工作岗位上,在国内也就追认个烈士,来这么多警察?不知道是国内人情淡漠,还是这边小题大做了.况且警察本来就是高危行业,他们应该有点思想准备吧...

老中习惯了对因公献身的国民的冷漠和忘却,对加拿大人的行为,有些不理解。


赵占英烈士,生前为35207部队58分队战士,出生于1963年4月,1981年1月入伍,1984年4月28日牺牲。赵占英烈士为国捐躯后,他的母亲因为生活困苦,买不起车票,当年没有来看望长眠在地下的儿子。一直到2004年的清明节,烈士的母亲才在当地政府的拨款资助下来到了烈士陵园,第一次得以抚摸到自己儿子的墓碑,但这,已经是烈士牺牲之后整整过去二十年了。面对这一切,九泉之下的烈士能说些什么?
