Canavac v.s. Hoover

大哥，不是一个等级的产品能比较吗？
就算100个人要团购BMW X5咱也没法要求别人以RAV4的价钱卖吧
hoover你仔细上网查查就知道了
况且costco除了退货还有售后服务吗？

Borrowed from another new house forum: A group of local people recently organized a group buy for Canavac 399, the price was $600 with min. 10 people. Here is one guy's comment on comparison between 399 and the Costco one.

I also looked at this. First of all, the Hoover Windtunnel at Costco is made by Canavac (just relabeled as a Hoover). It's most comparable in specs to the Canavac 250L (lowest end model).

The Hoover has 1 yr labour warranty vs the Canavac's (at SuperVacs) 7 year labour. The water suction is 114" vs the Canavac's ~140". The motor is a 2 stage vs the Canavac's 3 stage.

The one nice thing is it comes with tubing/cement, but my house is roughed in already for central vac and I only need 2-3 joints and a short length of tube to connect the vacuum up. Besides, this stuff is pretty cheap to buy.

You have to come to Ottawa to make the purchase, but I'm sure you can find some local installer.
However, you need be aware that the extended warranty is only valid with the ottawa local dealer.
