换energy green的water tank是必须的吗?

最近总有人上门来说,现在安省有计划要求mandatarily 给每个用户换energy green的water tank, 说要进门检查, 我就让他们进来了. 看了后说我的排气管道是黑色的AB?材料, 他们说这管道不符合新的building code, 给免费上门换新的energy green的water tank,并加换白色PVC的管道. 说这是很好的deal, 如果自己找人换白色PVC的管道要花几百元.

看得出来他们是个公司, 我没有签字, 不过请问是否有这样的要求? 我的water tank用了大概有6年.谢谢.

Not mandatory; but it's a good deal if the price is ok. Black PVC is cracking, and it cause CO leaking. Everything is up to you, you can change or stay with your original water tank. White 636 CPVC is used since Aug. 2007.
