cfra报道，渥太华市议员Allex Cullen提议要把6月9日定为渥村的法轮功日。市长拉瑞－布来恩坚决反对。Allex Cullen已经宣布他要竞选下一任渥太华市市长。看来Allex Cullen这次在华人选民中是死定了。

Councillor Wants Falun Gong Day in Ottawa

City Council is being asked to proclaim Falun Gong Day in the City of Ottawa.
In a motion for Wednesday's Council meeting, Councillor Alex Cullen recommends the city proclaim June 9th Falun Gong Day, and commend those who take part in those activities to bring healthier physical, mental and spiritual conditions to themselves.
Mayor Larry O'Brien announced last month he would not proclaim Falun Gong Day in the city just after he returned from a business trip to China.
Falun Gong members are persecuted in China.
Cullen notes Falun Dafa has touched the lives of countless people in more than 100 countries, including Canada.
