Some more about North Korean team's news (maybe fake too):

N Korea Star Soccer Player Loves Japan Lifestyle

<TABLE class=contentpaneopen border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top align=left>by Tom McGregor </TD><TD class=createdate vAlign=top align=right>Wed, Jun 16, 2010, 10:59 AM </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

To the surprise of the world, the North Korea soccer team nearly defeated Brazil in a World Cup soccer match. Some soccer experts are beginning to wonder if the best team on the Korean Peninsula hails from the North, not the South.
Nevertheless, North Korea's star soccer player, Jong Tae-se has never lived in North Korea, other than to attend practices. He never even lived in South Korea either. He was born and raised in Japan, and continues to reside in the 'Land of the Rising Sun,' while he boasts of embracing a "capitalist lifestyle."
The Korea Herald reports that, "Jong was born and raised in Japan. 'The 26-year-old forward has never lived in communist North Korea, and says he has no plans to. He loves to shop, snowboard and dreams of marrying Korea's Posh Spice - none of which would be possible in the impoverished North, one of the most isolated countries in the world,' the AP said."
On Wednesday, ahead of the big match between Brazil and North Korea in South Africa, the AP published a lengthy story about Jong's luxurious and decadent lifestyle, which it claimed "is not average North Korean."
According to the Korea Herald, "the wire described him as playing like Rooney, but behaving more like Beckham. 'He loves his cars, his rap music and his clothes, and changes hairstyles more often than you can say, 'Kim Jong-il,' it said.
Mr. Jong was a South Korean citizen, although he was born in Nagoya, Japan, since his parents were 2nd generation South Koreans. But he discarded his South Korean citizenship to obtain a North Korean passport. South Korea does not permit adults to hold dual-citizenship. Hence, if a native South Korean becomes and American citizen, they must formally renounce their citizenship to the South.
Currently, Mr. Jong plays for the Kawasaki Frontale in the Japanese soccer league. Yet, he wears the North Korean jersey with pride, and cries copiously whenever he hears the national anthem. The soccer player from Japan became an instant hero for North Korea when he scored a goal against Brazil yesterday.

“With that honor comes pressure. Moon Ki-nam, a former national-level North Korea coach who defected to South Korea in 2004, said players are handsomely rewarded with coveted apartments if they win internationally but are punished, some sent to coal mines, if they lose.

Even some of the feted players from the 1966 team were said to have been sent to one of North Korea's infamous labor camps for squandering a promising 3-0 lead to lose to a Eusebio-led Portugal in the quarterfinals.

And with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il personally giving the current team guidance, according to state media, success or failure is a state matter of the highest order.”
