foundation和footing

foundation和footing是否应该有东西连接，比如metal bars？ 可是我怎么什么也没看到呢？footing上面整个是平的。

Usually, they just make a "key" on the footing to lock foundation walls. I would prefer some vertical rebars... but I guess you will have to pay extra for that.
