when you guys buy house, do you feel house price is down?
what kind of house price is down? big or townhouse?

actually,
every year, house price is "look" like down from July to September, very quiet market, after October, pick up again. have been like it for years, so, right now is good time to buy house, and quick modify it sale again at the end of year for good price. or you buy it for own live, this is the best time to buy, at least 20 to 30k difference compare to the end of year price, you can compare them with last year price slop from July to December in the same area with similar conditions.
 
July to September is typical vacation season.

I had been waiting and waiting and waiting....then was convinced the price was not likely going down soon...so I bought one this Spring..relieved....
 
KANATA 417 以南的二手房降价比较明显,那里40万的房子已经很难卖了,Katimawik的小房基本“滞销”了。其他区的二手房成交量也降的很厉害,价格目前开始下移,但还没开始下冲。等吧,没买房的再忍忍吧。。。。最近签约的,CLOSING DAY 要是跨过这个冬天,有一定的风险。可能还没入住价格就下跌了。

上里拜天看了几家open house, 只在其中一家见到其他人也来看房子. 从没见过open house这么冷清的. 那天天气还挺好的.

Housing market is a segmented market even in the same city. I found there is a trend that Ottawa residents are moving to South region in recent years while somce core areas of the city are losing people. Riverside South and Barrhaven would more likely be balanced market due to infrastracture improvement i.e. Bridge, road. Also according to Minto's plan, there will be at least another five years in Barrhaven region. The plan implicitly indicates there is an demand.
 
it is all about demand ans supply rule, as population is going up, but the earth is not getting any bigger, if you understand this rule, then you know when to buy the house is good time.

Stonebridge是个特例。前几年这个区新房价格偏低,现在处于补涨阶段。这个区二手房却卖的贼贵。
