Two bombs have killed 14 people in Damascus amid reports that a teenage boy was executed in front of his family by Islamist militiamen accusing him of blasphemy.

The activist group said the boy was working at his family's coffee stand when he was heard telling a customer who wanted to pay later for coffee that he cannot lend anyone anything, even if "Muhammad comes back to earth".

Human rights groups say that phrase is common among Arabs.

The three gunmen overheard the boy and asked him why he was saying something blasphemous, the group said. They took the boy away for 30 minutes and when they came back with him they shot him in the head and neck.
The group said it had released two videos in which two people who are identified as the boy's parents authenticate the report.
